Londyńska artystka Flora Yin-Wong eksperymentuje z muzyką elektroakustyczną, ale przez lata inspirowała się też muzyką klubową. Wychowana w domu śpiewaczki operowej, była otoczona dźwiękami od zawsze. Uczyła się gry na skrzypcach i kemanczach, następnie wkręciła się w house i techno, a zgłębiając własne korzenie zaczęła w końcu tworzyć przejmujące kolaże dźwiękowe. Nagrania terenowe z podróży oraz inspiracje wschodnioazjatycką religijnością skłoniły artystkę do zgłębiania tematyki wykorzenienia, co uchwyciła na ostatnim, bardzo mocnym i emocjonalnym albumie “Cold Reading”.
Założycielka wytwórni, artystka dźwiękowa i DJka, Flora Yin Wong wydała swój debiutancki album „Holy Palm” nakładem Modern Love, wydawała także swoją muzykę w labelach takich jak: PAN, Danse Noire, Circadian Rhythms, and SVBKVLT. Wykonywała swoją muzykę na festiwalach, m. in. Atonal, Unsound, Creamcake, Semibreve, MUTEK Montreal, Peru, Buenos Aires, ISSUE Project; w Volksbühne Theatre,
The V&A Museum, oraz Cafe OTO; w klubach: Berghain, Printworks, Razzmatazz, WWWB Tokyo; była też gościnią audycji radiowych: Rinse FM, NTS, Know Wave, The Lot Radio, Boiler Room, z trymestralną rezydencją w LYL Radio W tym roku założyła wytwórnię płytową Doyenne zudowaną wokół koncepcji „boskiej kobiecości”.

London-based artist Flora Yin-Wong experiments with electroacoustic music, but over the years she has also been inspired by club music. Raised in the home of an opera singer, she was always surrounded by sounds. She learned to play the violin and kemancha, then got into house and techno music, and while exploring her own roots, she eventually began to create poignant sound collages. Field recordings from her travels and inspirations drawn from the East Asian religiosity prompted the artist to explore the topic of rootlessness, which she captured on the latest, very strong and emotional album „Cold Reading”.
Label founder, sound artist and DJ, Flora Yin Wong released her debut album ‚Holy Palm’ on Modern Love, she also published her music under such labels as: PAN, Danse Noire, Circadian Rhythms, and SVBKVLT. She has performed live at such festivals and venues as Atonal, Unsound, Creamcake, Semibreve and MUTEK Montreal, Peru, and Buenos Aires, ISSUE Project, Volksbühne Theatre, The V&A Museum, and Cafe OTO; in clubs: Berghain, Printworks, Razzmatazz, WWWB Tokyo; and guested on shows for Rinse FM, NTS, Know Wave, The Lot Radio, Boiler Room, with a trimestrial residency on LYL Radio. This year she launched a record label – Doyenne – built around the concept of the ‘divine feminine’.
